Live Action Giant Chess
Chess with A Twist!
You gather with your friends or strangers on a giant outdoor chess board. Some pieces are standard chess pieces, and they follow the conventions of the game. Other pieces, you replace with your team mates.
The queen calls the shots as the pieces move around the board. May the best chess player win!
For an althetic variation (and with signed waivers) you can arm your friends with foam swords. Now, when a bishop attacks a square where a rook stands, they players duel! This adds another dimension of chess skill to the game!
